This one day training course for managers and supervisors at all levels is designed to achieve a “safety first” culture within organizations. Strategies for establishing consistently followed practices for safety inspections, training, and safety awareness will be examined in detail. Implementing an effective “Stop Work” policy, educating workers to recognize hazardous situations and basic principles of organizational safety are among the topics that will be presented during this training. Emphasis will be given to OSHA regulations and other health and safety regulations managers must be aware of and comply with as a routine responsibility of supervision and management. Case studies, simulations, and practice exercises will be used during training. A question and answer session to address specific questions of interest to participants is included.
Upon completion of this course, participants will have acquired a basic understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to maintaining a safe working environment and be prepared to promote safe practices within an organization.
Instructors for this course will be seasoned professionals with appropriate academic degrees and certifications, specialized training in industrial and public safety, and extensive experience as trainers.
