OSHA Outreach 10 and 30 Hour Courses

The OSHA 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is a voluntary training program designed to provide a variety of training to people with some safety responsibility. The purpose is to increase workplace safety awareness and compliance, and reduce a company's risk of fines and penalties resulting from OSHA violations. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a course completion card directly from OSHA.

The benefits of this training are immediate as participants learn how to prevent accidents and injuries. The course will include comprehensive instruction in the OSHA General Industry Standards and can be tailored to your particular industry.

Course Topics
Required: 
Introduction to OSHA (2 hour module) 
Required: 
Managing Safety and Health (2 hour module)
Required: 
Walking and Working Surfaces  (1 hour module)
Required: 
Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans and Fire Protection (2 hour module) 
Required: 
Electrical (2 hour module) 
Required: 
Personal Protective Equipment (1 hour module)
Required: 
Materials Handling (2 hour module)
Required: 
Hazard Communication (1 hour module)
Elective: At least 10 hours of training on at least 5 of the following topics with the minimum length of any topic one-half hour: 
Hazardous Materials; Personal Protective Equipment; Permit-Required Confined Spaces; Lockout/TagoutMachine Safeguarding; Welding, Cutting, and BrazingIntroduction to Industrial Hygiene; Bloodborne Pathogens; Ergonomics; Fall Protection; Safety and Health Programs; Fall Protection.

For the remaining seven hours of the 30-hour class, we can tailor the subject matter to your particular operation or expand on the mandatory or elective topics coverage.  The minimum length of any topic is one-half hour.
