The OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is a voluntary training program intended to provide a variety of training to people with some safety responsibility. The purpose is to increase construction site safety awareness and compliance, and reduce a company's risk of fines and penalties resulting from OSHA violations. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a course completion card directly from OSHA.

The benefits of this training are immediate as participants learn how to prevent accidents and injuries. The course will include comprehensive instruction in the OSHA Construction Standards and can be tailored to your particular industry.

Course Topics

Required:  Introduction to OSHA, OSH Act/General Duty Clause, Inspections, Citations, and Penalties.

Required: Electrical

Required: Fall Protection

Required: Six of the following:

Health Hazards in Construction;  Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment;

Fire Protection and Prevention; Materials Handling, Storage, Use, or Disposal;

Tools—Hand and Power; Welding and Cutting; Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, and Conveyors;

Motor Vehicles, Mechanized Equipment, and Marine Operations;

Rollover Protective Structures and Overhead Protection;  Construction Equipment;

Stairways and Ladders, Scaffolding, Excavations; and Signs, Signals and Barricades.

For the remaining ten hours of the 30-hr. class, we can tailor the subject matter to your particular operation or expand on the required topic coverage.
